Carli's first birthday

Carli invited us to her first birthday party on Saturday morning. It was great spending some time with our friends and their little ones. And it made me wonder if we will ever have enough energy to have our own children. What if we get a little hyper-active monster? I guess monster is not the right word to use, but you know what I mean... Looking at these photographs, I feel relieved because I know that Sarel will be the best dad in the world!

Our Wedding Photographer!!!

Marchand de Goede is one of our very special, close friends, and because he will be our wedding photographer, I spent some time looking at the photographs on his website. His incredible talent for capturing the perfect moment always strikes me and I can’t help but look forward to see what our wedding photos will look like! The photograph of Amelie’s little toes is my favorite, it actually brings tears to my eyes... Incredible!!! Things like these makes me extremely excited about our wedding day. I can’t freaken wait!!!

Butterfly stockings...

My legs received a lot of attention yesterday. Stares from complete strangers... Ha ha... But how colourful and fun are these stockings? It was a gift from my friend, Lizl from the UK... Mmm, I think I definitely need more variations!

Triplet Monsters... 2

The Triplets found their way home. Apparently the 3 “human” triplets are crazy about their new toys. Ahhh... Happiness!!! And Jade... Well, Jade just loves boxes. Whenever I bring a new box home, Jade is the first to test it out. So cute!!!

In the mood to paint...

Last night Sarel was in the mood to paint... So much so that he almost didn’t eat supper and that doesn’t really happen, because when he gets home after a day at work, he is as hungry as a lion! He is crazy about Banksy’s stencil art, so he attempted his own Banksy style art piece. I have to admit... not too bad! Actually, I wish he didn’t give it to one of his friends. I’m sure I will be able to find the perfect spot for it in our own house, like in our kitchen. I wonder if he would make me one as well? Maybe if I ask really nice Lets hold thumbs!!!

Sunny Sunday

Yesterday was nice and sunny so we decided to stay home and do stuff around the house. Unfortunately washing was high on the list of things we had to do, but luckily I also had some creative work to keep myself busy with. Katie tried her best to do her bit... I guess her presence counts as “moral support”. Sarel spent some time outside working in the garden, playing with the dogs and fixing up an old garden bench.

Triplet Monsters...

My dad is officially one of my clients! He ordered 3 Tooth Monsters for a friend who has triplets – Francis, Lisa and Hortense. So last night I felt very inspired to create 3 little creatures. It is so much fun developing a Tooth Monster from a piece of material to something you want to hug and love!
