Dear Holiday

I find this letter very hard to write. I have been thinking about what I would say to you for months now. 

So here goes: 

It feels like a part of my heart has been ripped out of my chest. I don't understand where it all went wrong? You’ve been so quiet, and I don't know if you feel the same, but I hope you do, because it will shatter me if all our wonderful memories were to be something of the past. Did I do something wrong? Did I say something that hurt your feelings? What happened? I feel that I need to fix our relationship. Even if I have to wait till December just to spend a week with you… I’ll do anything… it will be GREAT to be with you again! Just know that I can't wait to spend time with you, and that I’m ticking off every single day that goes by. Every day that goes by is one day closer to you!!! My love for you is indescribable.. oh, how I miss you!

Mozambique Boat Trip!

My sister (from another mother), Rene, invited me to join her on a 4 day boat trip to an island on the coast of Mozambique. No photographs, video or words can explain what we have experienced. You have to see it for yourself. Talk about sensory overload! Eye candy galore, beautiful scenery, mouthwatering food, endless cocktails, breath taking shows – the list goes on and on and on...

“Sleep when you’re dead” is the perfect expression.

Thank you my friend. This is definitely a highlight in my life – one I will never forget.

Stone Stables in Darling

I definitely need to tell everyone I know about this amazing little cottage in Darling. I could not have picked a better place than this to get dressed for our wedding.

Just to relax here for a few days… It has so much character! Marchand's (our photographer) life was made a bit easier because he didn’t have to look very far for beautiful backgrounds. His options included a rusted tin wall, an indigenous garden and a beautiful pool area.

The 2 dogs (we named them Bella and Jackie) added a very homely feel... Lovely pets, we couldn’t help but to spoil them... taking naps with us on the bed... Yes, I know, very bad of us!

Leentjiesklip

If you love camping, do yourself a favor and visit Leentjiesklip in Langebaan. It is super cheap, the beach is awesome, the water warm and the photography shots ENDLESS!!! We had a blast and will definitely go again.
